The EU will tighten the limit of HBCDD

On March 21, 2024, the European Commission passed the revised draft of POPs Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 on hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), which determined to tighten the unintentional trace pollutant (UTC) limit of HBCDD from 100mg/kg to 75mg/kg. The next step is for the EU official gazette to issue a revised legal regulation to update the limit of the substance.
