On May 28, 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that it had received proposals for three substances as intended substances for SVHC, all of which were proposed by Sweden and are currently in the stage of preparing the relevant substance files by the proposer. It is expected to submit the files and initiate a 45 day public review before August 2025. Adding the two substances that were previously on the SVHC Intention List, there are currently a total of five substances on the SVHC Intention List.

As of now, there are 247 official substances on the SVHC candidate list, 4 newly evaluated and proposed substances, and 5 intended substances, totaling 256 items. The REACH regulation requires SVHC to complete relevant notification obligations within 6 months after being included in the candidate list.
